Biological Monitoring
What is Biological Monitoring?
If you have looked at our Water Monitoring page, then you will have an understanding of why we monitor water quality. Water quality monitoring can be broken down into three forms; chemical, physical and biological. Chemical includes parameters such as nitrogen and dissolved oxygen. Physical includes parameters such as flow and temperature. Biological is monitoring of animals found in a waterway, which means studying the aquatic macroinvertebrates, frogs and fish.
